The preschool classes began on September 9 for both the two-year-olds and the four-year-olds. Under the very capable direction of Jenn Martin and Nikki Kucharek, along with teacher assistant Sharon Mouk, the children have already experienced so much. They have been busy doing activities about their families and all kinds of activities for Rosh Hashanah. including making new years cards, apple print painting, making all kinds of shofars, and hearing many stories. The days have been full of fun.

Each day when the children come to school they have a morning greeting circle, a story time circle,
and a closing circle for songs and finger plays. They also work on fine motor skill development, gross
motor skills, art activities, free play, music and movement, snack and of course we can’t forget the
bathroom experience!!!! It truly is amazing to see how fast they learn the routine and know what to
expect. In the four year old class they also spend time rotating through learning centers.

 

It is a delightful group of children who have tons of smiles, giggles, and lots to share. We look forward
to another great year working with everyone at the TOT SPOT.
